This is a big, meaty whole chicken, raised the Beyond Organic way right here on our farm in Hilliard. We feed them certified organic, non-GMO feed and process them here on the farm, so we know every step this bird took. One of these will get you Sunday dinner, a few lunches and a pot of broth.

How we raise them
Cornish Cross are heavy birds that don’t like to walk much, and sitting on wet ground all day isn’t good for them. So our's live in coops set just above the pasture. They’re out in the Florida sun all day, but they stay dry and the predators can’t get to them. The floor is open, so what they drop goes straight down to feed the grass below. We check on them by hand every day. We only raise small batches, and so far every batch has sold out.

Cooking
Roast it whole, smoke it, an outdoor air fryer, or spatchcock it and put it on the grill. Don’t toss the bones, because they make great broth.

Getting yours
Order right here, or just call or text Mike. You can swing by the farm in Hilliard and grab it, or Mike will meet you at the Hilliard or Callahan post office parking lot, whichever’s easier. Any day but Sunday, just let Mike know when you’re coming.  Cash only please. (Meet-ups have a small order minimum, since Mike's driving out.)
